Our House 4 Miler Returns With USATF Championship Status

On May 19th, Our House will host its annual 4 Mile Run on the Village Green in Summit to raise funds for developmentally disabled adults.

New Providence, NJ (April 20, 2018)—In honor of April being Autism Awareness Month, Our House Foundation announces the 19th Annual Our House 4 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk on the Village Green in Summit on May 19th, 2018. This year, the 4 Mile Run is a USATF All Division Championship, offering USATF runners 700 points! The race welcomes elite athletes, the casual runner, and anyone looking to make a difference by supporting adults with disabilities!

Top Sponsors include Hope Autism Foundation, Michael and Ashleigh Donovan, C.R. Bard Foundation, Investors Bank, and The Leo Foundation.

Highlights of the event include non-stop DJ music, awesome lunch refreshments provided by Stop & Shop in Berkley Heights, and special commemorative long sleeve tee shirts and goodie bags for participants. Even Sparkee the mascot from Somerset Patriots will stop by for a visit! Last, don’t miss the chance to cheer on our residents and participants with special needs as they compete in the Everyone’s a Winner Race.

Runners can expect a USATF certified 4 mile course, clocks at each mile and the finish line, plus multiple water stations. The race will also feature Chronotrack B-Tag scoring and $2,000 in prize money! Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall men and women to cross the finish line, as well as the top 3 Summit residents. Age group awards will be given to the top 3 men and women in each 5 year age group beginning at 14 & under through 85 & over.
